Robert Cuadros is a chessplayer, trainer and journalist from Lima, Peru. He started home delivery chess teaching in 1992, working with children, teenagers and adults. Then in 1998 he started teaching by email then in 2004 began to offer his services on several online chess platforms.

As a journalist Robert has contributed articles to his site mundoajedrez.com.pe and also on other sites such as tabladeflandes.com and torre64.com. Robert is also a Chemical Engineer and dedicates part of his time investigating topics on Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Robert likes Math, reading, listening to music and going to the movies. He also likes get out of the city some weekends in search for some rest and silence. His favourite authors include Mario Vargas Llosa, Gabriel García Márquez, Jhon Steinbeck, Joseph Conrad, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Arthur Clark and Katherine Neville. His musical tastes are diverse: he likes soft rock, pop rock, modern rock, alternative rock, classic rock, new age, jazz, solo piano, country, salsa, reggae, classic rap and oldies like Beatles music. His preferred types of movies are drama, comedy, action, science fiction, fantasy and biographies of notable people. His favourite quote is “Eternal happiness doesn’t exist. Only happy moments exist”
