GM Dzhumaev Marat of Uzbekistan won the title by defeating IM Vishnu of India in the final round while Indian GM Sethuram drew his last round and scored equal points with GM Marat but Marat won with better tiebreak score. While Top Seed Wostajzek of Poland finished fourth.

This tournament gave India 2 more GMs, Vidit Gujarathi who completed his formalities in 9th round who positioning himself 3rd with better tie break score in this event and Shyam Sunder who already obtained GM norms, after this event he crossed 2500 rating barrier to become Grandmaster.
