Little Known Openings: Part 2

Here’s the second line in my series, the 5…exf6 line of the Caro-Kan Defence. I actually agree with Kevin Spraggett’s assessment that this is not worse for Black, though if you consult the opening manuals they will all wax lyrical about White’s queen side pawn majority.

Did Alexander Alekhine agree with Spraggett and myself? Well maybe, because he played it. And this is a really nice game:
