Chess Style And Openings

Players often think that certain openings ‘suit their style’ but they are usually operating under a misapprehension. Every opening is open to a wide variety of interpretations as can be seen when you look at the wide variety of players who play them.

In the following game we see a dramatic queen sacrifice in the Nimzo-Indian Defence, an opening that is often thought to be the domain of positional players.
