FIDE World Cup 1982: Timman – Spassky

Here’s a fascinating game between two all time great players, Jan Timman and Boris Spassky. Spassky starts out with a provocative opening, 1…b6 becoming a Hippo set up. Timman obtains a clear advantage but can’t quite press it home against his resourceful opponent.
